About GBK

Gram Bikash Kendra (GBK) is a local level non-profit development organization. GBK grew from a youth organization formed by a group of socially motivated young people. They had observed that large sectors of their community were being excluded from the mainstream economic and social development in post-liberation Bangladesh.
GBK become a fully accredited NGO, working as an enabling force for vulnerable section of the community – particularly women, children and indigenous people. GBK continues to focus on achieving social change and the organization is situated in Northwest Bangladesh, Dinajpur District, Parbatipur Upazilla
GBK has a team of committed and experienced staff who provides technical, agricultural, social and motivational assistance to the rural poor communities to enable them to meet their basic needs.

GBK registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of Bangladesh on the 6th of March 1993. Registration number: 693/93
GBK also registered with the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, on the 22nd of March 1994. Registration Number: Dinaj-913/94
Registered on the register of Joint Stock Companies on the 4th of May 2000. Registration number S-2361(204)/2000
