The foundational goal of the ENRICH programme is to eradicate poverty and promote sustainable development by enhancing the inherent resources and capacities of vulnerable households.

  • Ensuring universal access to basic healthcare, nutrition, and education for the extreme poor, with a prioritized focus on women and children.
  • Eliminating poverty by promoting sustainable livelihoods and creating viable employment opportunities.
  • Ensuring absolute human dignity and freedom by gradually reducing poverty in a sustainable manner at the household level.

⚙️ Key Pillars of Intervention

ENRICH operates on a multi-sectoral approach, deploying an array of integrated activities to ensure holistic community transformation:

1. Health & Nutritional Wellbeing

  • Clinical Services: Operation of routine Satellite Clinics, Static Clinics, and specialized Health and Eye Camps.
  • Maternal Health: Continuous ANC and PNC follow-ups, alongside regular courtyard meetings to raise health awareness.
  • Geriatric Care: Free cataract operations and the distribution of medicines and wheelchairs to helpless senior citizens.

2. Educational Empowerment

Education is the ultimate catalyst for generational change.

  • Education Support Centers: We currently operate 18 Education Support Centers distributed across 9 wards of Chandipur Union.
  • Student Reach: Through these centers, 486 disadvantaged students are receiving critical supplementary educational support to prevent dropouts and ensure quality learning.

3. Social Development & Inclusive Community

  • Youth & Adolescents: Conducting adolescent social and health awareness programs, alongside Upazila and Youth Coordination Meetings.
  • Recognition & Motivation: Celebrating community champions through the Mentor Award, Youth Award, Best Senior Award, and Best Child Award.
  • Recreation: Organizing annual sports and cultural enhancement activities to build vibrant, connected communities.

4. Economic Resilience & Climate Adaptation

  • Agricultural Advancement: Promoting climate adaptation techniques and robust market connectivity for marginal farmers.
  • Livelihood Growth: Facilitating technology transfer, information dissemination, and market linkages, coupled with funding to help participants execute socio-economic activities.

📖 Impact Story: A Paradigm Shift in Maternal Health

The Challenge:

Before the inception of the ENRICH programme, maternal health in Chandipur Union was in a dire state. Pregnant and postpartum women lacked access to proper medical facilities. Irregular checkups led to high rates of malnourished newborns, and unmonitored conditions like high blood pressure resulted in complex, life-threatening diseases for the local population.

The ENRICH Transformation:

Today, the narrative has fundamentally changed. Through the ENRICH programme, dedicated GBK nurses now travel door-to-door to conduct routine health assessments. Pregnant and postpartum women are finally receiving the continuous, proper care they deserve. With consistent blood pressure monitoring and proactive medical guidance, the community is now highly aware of complex diseases, leading to safer pregnancies, healthier children, and a significantly improved quality of life.
